Ride of Silence
Wednesday, May 21st, 7:00 p.m.

This short ride honors those who have been injured or killed while riding. We will ride, silently, guided by officers from the BC Police Department to remember them and to raise awareness among motorists that we are on the road. Start location at Getaway Sports. Our goal is to have 100 riders this year. We went from 5 in 2006 to 60 in 2007, so 100 is an attainable goal. It's free, and it's very important! Click here to download the poster and put it up in a conspicous spot.

Bike Commuting in BC!

The City of Battle Creek, along with the department of Parks and Recreation, have been working hard to make BC a more bike and pedestrian-friendly city. Both local bike shops have been instrumental in getting this going. Bike-path enthusiasts enjoy the Linear Park, a paved bike path that meanders in and around Battle Creek. Also, the city has been hard at work creating bike lanes all over town. Please click on the following links for more information, and ride your bike to work!
